Nerfed Overpowered Items
To keep PvP fair and varied, several high-impact items are toned down in PvP contexts. These changes preserve creativity without letting one tactic dominate.
Affected Items
- End Crystals and Minecart Explosives: Damage is softened when multiple players are nearby. These sources also do not apply a PvP tag.
- Beds (in Nether/End) and Respawn Anchors (outside Nether): Trigger a smaller, controlled explosion when used offensively near other players. Damage is reduced compared to vanilla.
- Mace: PvP damage is reduced to curb one-shot potential.
Spawn-Area Limits
Near spawn, hazardous interactions are blocked to prevent griefing:
- TNT, TNT minecarts, respawn anchors, lava, flint and steel, and end crystals are disabled within the PvP-safe zone.
- Inside the smaller build-protected core, explosions and player damage are fully cancelled.
Impact on Gameplay
- Fights last longer and reward positioning, potions, and teamwork.
- "One-button" explosive combos are less decisive; you can still use them, just expect moderated damage.
